Aurangabad city was named after Aurangzeb, the last of the great Mughal Emperors. The city happens to be of great consequence in Maharashtra. Aurangabad is known for the fabulous Paithani sarees, semi precious stones available in rough, polished & jewelry form, Bidri ware, and old coins dating back to the Mughal period.
